The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to nearby sightseeing and outdoor attractions. The king room we stayed in was small but cozy, and the bed was comfortable. We also appreciated the friendly and helpful hosts who lived on site.

There was no ventilation in the room, and the only way to get some air flow was through the window, but there were too many bugs outside. Additionally, the WiFi and cell service were only available in front of the check-in office, which was inconvenient.

I did encounter a drawback during my stay. I had reserved a king room for my 50th anniversary, but when I arrived, I was given a room with two beds.

Although there was no AC, the cool mountain air and ceiling fan made for a pleasant night's sleep. The nearby cafe, just a few steps away, served delicious meals throughout the day. During our recent stay at Linville Falls Lodge & Cottages, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort of our accommodations. The king room we were assigned was extremely clean and well-appointed, providing us with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We were particularly delighted when the manager, Wendy, offered us the opportunity to switch to one of the two-bedroom cottages on the property. The cottage was beautifully decorated with a kitchen, living room, and a large covered front porch. It felt like a home away from home, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening there.
